Writeup finished! Finally

If you've emailed me at some point about the Furry Survey you've probably heard me say that the results page currently up (here) is a redacted version of a mystical Full Writeup that I kept talking about but never had available.

Well, no more. The document--"State of the Fandom 2008"--is now available online, just in time to not be in time for Anthrocon 2008. You can grab it right here, packaged as a handy Adobe PDF file. With graphs! And stuff!

So now, you're probably asking, "what happens now"? Well. The curious among you have already noticed that the State of the Fandom is hosted on a different website from Klisoura Dot Com. The Furry Research Center, as I have inaugurated it, is dedicated to researching the furry fandom although since it consists primarily of me and a bunch of other statistics geeks we're probably not angling for Nobels any time soon.

The "State of the Fandom" document will be a yearly thing, meaning that if you enjoy taking surveys you will get to do so again and again. If you don't enjoy taking surveys then I will get down on my knees and beg you too, I suppose, but I can't force anyone. The new survey will be completely rewritten (some of the FRC staff didn't like it) and when it is done, we can get this show on the road.

If you want me to let you know when it's available, drop me a line at bce@klisoura.com or alex@furcenter.org. In the meantime, I will continue collecting data here; when I finally finish the new survey, I'll pull this one, add all the results in to the writeup, and we'll be ready to go!

Have a great day!
